Todd Snyder and New Balance have a rich history of working on footwear together, and this July, the two brands are reconnecting for a fresh batch of 327s that come with matching outwear pieces. After shining a light on outdoor pleasures for its New Balance 992 collaboration that dropped earlier in 2021, the two parties are now pulling inspiration from New York City’s farmers markets.
“We concepted the Farmers Market capsule during lockdown, so the design team and I were reminiscing about (and looking forward to) the experience of walking around a farmers market on a hot summer day,” says Snyder. “We wanted these sneakers and jackets to be a colorful reminder of how special that experience is. I’m grateful that this capsule is coming out at a moment when many of us can return to our local farm stands and favorite restaurants.”
The stars of this assemblage are the sneakers which includes three tasty iterations of the New Balance 327. “Pineapple”, “Pomegranate” and “Wheat” are enlisted in this launch, all of which are designed with vivid colors found on a farm stand and come adorned with their respective food graphics atop the tongues.
To go along with the kicks, Snyder and the sportswear imprint have crafted warm weather-ready seersucker Market Coats. The silhouette is a hybrid between a chore coat and a blazer and come in red, blue and green colors. Each piece is embroidered with a tonal co-branded hit on the left chest pocket
Check out a closer look at the products up above and note that they will be dropping come July 29 via Todd Snyder and globally on New Balance on August 12. The 327s will retail for $150 USD while the jacket is priced at $398 USD.
