As with most JDM classics, the Honda Integra Type R is only rising in value — and this pristine 1998 example (with just two former owners) has just been listed for sale by Asphalt Classics.

Finished in the desirable “Champion White” color, this Integra Type R was purchased from Honda Bruxelles in ‘98 under a special order program that means a number of unique elements were added as stock to this model. For example, most Type R’s came with red Recaro bucket seats, but the original owner actually opted for black Alcantara instead, with red Recaro branding embroidered into the headrest area.

It also comes with the coveted selection of three keys, one of which being a never-opened “Red Key” presented in its original packaging. Aside from this, the Integra Type R is left in stock condition — which is no bad thing by any means.

The 1.8-liter VTEC naturally aspirated engine is good for 190 HP, which may not sound like a lot but when the car only weighs 1.2 tonnes, a power-to-weight ratio makes for a 0-62 MPH time of 6.7 seconds and a top speed of 145 MPH. Additionally, it came with a punchy 9000 RPM redline which makes for incredible VTEC noises, and independent double-wishbone front and rear suspensions that make the car poised and handle fantastically.

This well-maintained 1998 Honda Integra Type R has just 64,000km on the clock, and is currently up for sale with Asphalt Classics for just €32,900 EUR (approx. $40,000 USD) — a steal, considering prices are only going to skyrocket soon (check out this $82,000 USD version if you need convincing).
