Are you ready to meet your new Dark Knight? On Oct. 16, DC released the full first trailer of The Batman during its DC FanDome event. Starring Robert Pattinson as the titular character, Zoë Kravitz as Catwoman, and an unrecognizable Colin Farrell as the Penguin, the action-packed trailer is already giving us chills. From Pattinson suited up to take on corruption and crime in Gotham City to a glimpse into Batman and Catwoman’s relationship, there’s much to be excited about.
Last summer, on Aug. 22, DC released a first look at the film after producer Walter Hamada confirmed that the film will not take place in the same time period as Zack Snyder’s Justice League, in which Ben Affleck wears the black cape alongside Jason Momoa’s Aquaman, Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman, and Henry Cavill’s Superman.
We still have plenty of questions left unanswered, but we’re eager to see what else unfolds before the movie debuts on March 4, 2022 (production was halted due to COVID-19 for two weeks in September 2020). Plus, Warner Media CEO Jason Kilar reconfirmed that fans won’t have to wait very long for the film to arrive on HBO Max. So, if you’d rather watch The Batman from the comfort of your own home, then you’re in luck because it begins streaming to all HBO Max subscribers on April 19, 2022. Watch the full trailer above, then check out the rest of the cast of The Batman.
