As Lil Baby prepares to release his followup to My Turn, he shared a snippet of a brand new song that featured a sample of JAY-Z and Drake‘s legendary 2013 collab, “Pound Cake.”

The untitled cut hears the same sample of Ellie Goulding’s “Don’t Say A Word” and hears Lil Baby touch on his lifestyle as a rapper, which includes being a jet-setter, performing with Billie Eilish and still facing friends-turned-enemies despite his success. “I’m Just Warming Up[.] #Thissummermines,” he wrote as the caption, hinting that the album could be coming just in time for the warmer weather.

In late February, the rapper revealed that his “Album Almost Done” and that “New Music” is on the way. A release date was not revealed, however.

My Turn dropped in 2020 and featured guest appearances from Gunna, 42 Dugg, Future, Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Wayne, Moneybagg Yo, Young Thug and Rylo Rodriguez. The 20-track record debuted at No. 1 and went on to become platinum certified on its first anniversary. It also recently broke a Billboard record for most weeks in the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums top 10 since the chart’s inception in 1965.

Watch the snippet below and stay tuned for more info on the album.
