Following the release of black low-tops and white high-tops in November of last year, Rick Owens DRKSHDW and Converse reunite to release inverse colorways of black high-top and white low-top DRKSTARs, a spin on the classic Chuck 70s.
The DRKSTAR sneakers feature a waxed cotton twill upper with domed rubber overlays across the toe box. The most striking difference from the Rick Owens rework is the elongated tongue, mimicking the collaboration logo of the stretched Converse star featured on the co-branded tongue tab. Stacked rubber midsole overlays run over the tongue and heel, and mismatched black labels adorn the rear soles.
In addition to the footwear release, accompanying accessories including a sling backpack and nylon dad cap will also be available.
The Rick Owens DRKSHDW x Converse DRKSTAR Chuck 70s and accompanying accessories will be released on HBX, Converse, and Rick Owens on February 22 at 10 a.m. EDT. Highs and Lows are priced at $195 and $190 respectively.
