Quavo took a moment to speak on the relationship he had with the late Pop Smoke, revealing in a recent interview with Real 92.3 that they were on the verge of creating a collaborative album.

The Migos member noted that it was “important” to have both Pop Smoke and Juice WRLD on the group’s Culture III, where the late artists appeared on the tracks “Light It Up” and “Antisocial” respectively. “I had a relationship with Pop Smoke. We had a relationship with Pop Smoke, and it was just important,” Quavo said on air. “And we had so many records. Me and him was about to make an album, so I just felt like I had to put Pop on there. RIP to my dawg, Pop. We just made so much good music. Us on a New York drill beat is just like… magic.”

Just before the release of Culture III, Steven Victor took to Twitter to tease a new posthumous album from Pop Smoke along with releases from Pusha T and NIGO. Release dates for the projects were not revealed, however.

In related news, a new posthumous Juice WRLD EP entitled The Party Never Ends is on the way.
