Paul Insect has reteamed with Avant Arte on a new 15-color screenprint, titled Cosmodela. The artwork is an intricately-crafted edition finished with metallic ink, diamond dust and high-gloss varnish highlights.

The elusive British artist is known for creating elaborate multi-layered collage portraits made through a variety of sourced imagery and materials. Insect meditates on notions of freedom and identity, by placing his central focus on the human figure. In the past, Insect has worked alongside other evasive figures such as Banksy, and in 2007, Damien Hirst famously bought out his entire Bullion solo exhibition at London’s Lazarides Gallery days before it opened.

Cosmodela features an array of motifs the artist has used in the past, such as pointillism, halftones and color mapped textures. The print comes in two different iterations — one featuring gold glitter and the other using clear diamond dust coating to finish. The former is an edition of 30 and will cost € 4.000 EUR / $4636.60 USD, while the latter is an edition of 175 and costs € 2.000 EUR / $2318.30 USD. Both will release via Avant Arte on November 18, 2021 at 2pm GMT.

Additionally, be sure to check out Insect’s new Amsterdam exhibition, “Personal Effects,” which will go on view from November 18 to December 2.
