After announcing the game’s release date back in April, there hasn’t been much more information about the highly anticipated Splatoon 3, but luckily for fans of the franchise, Nintendo has now announced that its next Direct livestream will be dedicated to a deep dive into the title. Scheduled for August 10, 9:00 a.m. EDT, the gaming giant will be showcasing 30 minutes of Splatoon 3, offering a closer look at some of its new weapons, characters, game modes, and its single-player campaign, which until now has been kept largely under wraps.
So far, we know that the game will feature a brand new hub space called Splatsville, and the core of the plot will revolve around the “Return of the Mammalians,” which hints at the introduction of a whole new species you’ll encounter. Of course, the fan-favorite Salmon Run co-op horde mode from Splatoon 2 will also be coming back.
Splatoon 3 arrives on the Nintendo Switch on September 9.
Elsewhere in gaming, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II has announced its open beta dates.
