Following their debut at the SS23 runway show in Paris, NAMESAKE now readies its debut footwear series featuring CLIPPERS 3000 sandals and CLIPPERS 8000 zip-up sneakers. Constructed out of recycled leather and TPU, the upcoming pairs look to the architecture of fishing boats for inspiration.

The larger CLIPPERS 8000 is the brand’s take on a stripped-back basketball shoe, combining design cues from the hoops silhouettes from the 2000s with basketball textures and the organic streamlined architecture of boats. Uppers feature a zip closure while thick 3D-printed soles incorporated the NAMESAKE logo at the help. The low-top CLIPPERS 3000 slip-ons are NAMESAKE’s vision for loafers which they playfully reveal are “our beloved father’s favorite shoes.” The combination of the two forms the brand’s take on on-court basketball shoes and off-court sandals.

The 8000 silhouette is available in both two-tone “Euphoric Black” and monochrome “Cannoli Cream” while the CLIPPERS 3000 will be offered exclusively in “Euphoric Black.”

NAMESAKE claims that with its current construction processes, it can only produce less than three complete pairs a day with imperfect pairs sent to be decomposed and reused through the 3D-printing process until they are perfect.

Both the NAMESAKE CLIPPERS 3000 and 8000 will be exclusive to less than 100 numbered pairs globally. Preorders are now open here with prices ranging from $860 to $880 USD.
