Moses Sumney has shared a new cover of the Billie Holiday classic “I’ll Be Seeing You.” The song was actually composed by Sammy Fain in 1938, with lyrics written Irving Kahal. Over the years, Frank Sinatra and Brenda Lee were among the artists who covered it, though it was made famous by Holliday when she recorded her own version in 1944.

Sumney’s rendition was created for the soundtrack of National Geographic’s forthcoming show, A Small Light. The biographical drama series tells the story of Miep Gies, the woman who helped hide Anne Frank and her family during the Nazi occupation in Amsterdam.

Este Haim serves as the executive music producer of the limited series. Along with Sumney, the show’s soundtrack features songs from Danielle Haim, Kamasi Washington, Sharon Van Etten, Angel Olsen and Weyes Blood.

Stream Moses Sumney’s “I’ll Be Seeing You” cover everywhere now. A Small Light is out for streaming on National Geographic, Disney+ and Hulu.
