Best known for merging its collections with moments from history, London-based maharishi is returning with another deep-dive into the historical archive. The label’s last collection explored the Convair B-58 Hustler — an American-designed fighter jet that took to the skies during the 1950s. Now, maharishi’s “Battle Royale” collection for Fall/Winter 2022 blends oversized and boxy silhouettes with details from early and experimental U.S. Air Force flight uniforms.

By using freehand machine embroidery and organic hemp fabrications, maharishi has curated a sustainable collection that combines up-cycled military surplus with more technical and utility-styled garments. Collection highlights include oversized and asymmetrical jackets, along with straight-leg cargo pants that feature numerous utility pockets along the sides of both legs. Rounding off the capsule, the “Reversible Hooded Sweatshirts” features a tiger stripe disruptive pattern and takes inspiration from the wild terrains of Vietnam. The reversed side of the hoodie comes in a light green hue and is based on the French lizard pattern of the French Indo-China era.
