Kendall Jenner proved that fashion is often the furthest thing from glamorous in a behind-the-scenes glimpse of her journey to the Met Gala.
The exclusive bash is dubbed the biggest night in the industry, with stars jetting in from around the world for the stunning red carpet.
The supermodel posed up a storm in a stunning black Prada gown at this year’s party, but was forced to go to the toilet in an ice bucket on her way into the venue.
Yes, seriously.
In the latest episode of the Kardashians, the famous family could be seen preparing for the big night, with cameras capturing their individual journeys to the party.
Kendall was helped into a sprinter van by multiple people as they finished off last-minute touch-ups on route – and revealed that she was struggling under the weight of her gown.
‘My skirt was so big and so heavy, there was so much stuff under it, that I literally was out of breath by the time I time I got into the sprinter van,’ she told the camera. ‘On top of being completely out of breath, thinking I’m missing the carpet, I think I just started to panic and honestly needed air.
‘The weirdest thing about anxiety and panic attacks is that they just come sometimes, for me. There’s no rhyme or reason, I did not invite it, it just happens.’
As she tried to calm herself down, the 818 founder declared: ‘I need to drink a sip of water and I need to pee.’
Thankfully, a quick-thinking assistant pulled out an ice bucket for her to use in lieu of an actual toilet.
‘That is so mortifying for whoever has to deal with my pee later, I’m so sorry,’ Kendall laughed as an assistant joked: ‘Can we sell it?’
‘Someone needs to turn on music because I can’t let you guys listen to me pee,’ she said while ducking down.
‘This is so mortifying, nobody judge me. I love you all! Prada I’m so sorry!’
After the deed was done, she squealed: ‘There’s pee on my feet!
‘Nobody will know! This is a fun story that there’s pee on my foot.’
A paper cup containing her urine was then transferred through the van by a team of dedicated assistants.
Having no regrets over the incident, Kendall added in her confessional: ‘Best decision I ever made. Because I don’t know what I would’ve done when I got inside.’
It turns out a bathroom break isn’t too easy to navigate when you’re wearing couture.
Kim Kardashian knows all about needing to take precautions at the Met Gala, and considered ‘peeing her pants’ after donning a restrictive corset dress in 2019.
While the mom-of-four stopped tracks in the stunning Thierry Mugler outfit, she admitted that it wasn’t the most practical of looks.
‘If I have to pee, it’s a problem,’ she said in an old episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians. ‘Honestly, if it’s an emergency, I think I pee my pants and then have my sister wipe my leg up.
‘I’m not even joking. She can wipe my leg up.’
‘Not only is this silicone [and] 500 hours of beading and making, but every little piece is itchy on the inside,’ she added of the iconic look. ‘It’s pokey. So it pokes me.’
Suddenly watching the red carpet from the comfort of our PJs doesn’t sound all bad…
