Kawhi Leonard understands that the grind comes before the shine, so his latest New Balance KAWHI, the “New Money,” is inspired by the $100 bill and his path to the top of the NBA. The Los Angeles Clippers forward recently debuted the “New Money” in his team’s playoff series against the Utah Jazz, and like many of his past signature New Balance releases it’s rife with specific details and full of advanced tech.

Following 2019’s OMN1S “Money Stacks,” the “New Money” arrives in a currency-centric light blue and gold colorway inspired by the hues of the $100 bill. Navy trim and detailing supplies some dark contrast, and the shoe’s most notable detail appears on its tongues, both of which features a large “100” hit. Further embellishment is supplied by Leonard’s #2 at the bottom of the eyestays, a gold fingerprint pattern on the quarter and tongue, gold top eyestays and a large embossed New Balance hit on the heel. Down below, New Balance’s signature FuelCell tech is loaded in the midsole for top-tier comfort and court feel that can handle the rigorous demands of Kawhi’s physical playing style.

The New Balance KAWHI “New Money” is set to release on the New Balance webstore come July 1. Its MSRP is set at $160 USD.
