Founded by designer Justin Son, ESENES Worldwide is a brand based on self-belief — its name is pronounced “SNS,” shorthand for “sorry not sorry” — and experimentation, the latter of which is the inspiration for its new CREAMSTA sneaker. A star-covered style that’s part BAPESTA, part Air Force 1 and entirely attention-demanding, the CREAMSTA draws from Son’s interest in learning and connecting more with the greater universe.
The CREAMSTA’s entire upper is covered in various-sized white leather stars, which are embroidered directly onto its tan suede and white leather build. A single star with a tail is present on each side’s quarter panel, while a chocolate brown UFO graphic is stamped on the heel and an ESENES spellout is emblazoned on the tongue tag. Insoles feature a wavy blue pattern with a warped white text hit, while coffee brown midsoles and chocolate brown outsoles round off the look.
CREAMSTAs aren’t Son’s first exploration into footwear: in 2020 he created the “Ooze Air” to support the Black Lives Matter movement — and donated half of its proceeds to the Colin Kaepernick-backed Know Your Rights Camp. His other sneaker designs have raised funds for causes like the United Way Wildfire Relief and the Fresh Air Fund.
Expect the ESENES Worldwide CREAMSTA to be available on the brand’s webstore in early September alongside its first full apparel drop. The MSRP is set at $259 USD.
