Since 2012, John Elliott has focused on amusing its consumer base with a vast array of perfectly-tailored basics, striking outerwear garments and sneaker collaborations with Nike and LeBron James, but now it moves forward to its latest footwear initiative: its first in-house-designed Speed Lace Up Boot.
Its high-profile shape is reminiscent of classical military boots but the premium materials from which it is crafted elevate its aesthetic to a point where the silhouette falls on both the luxury and street sides of the spectrum. Exterior shells of this inaugural offering are engineered with an earthy “Desert Suede” tone, and come balanced out with soft-textured tongues, laces and inner bootie linings that are engulfed in black. Footbeds are without a doubt the loudest element of the kicks as they are given a clover green coating.
Transitioning downwards, the hiking-inspired sole units usher in Vibram cushioning, and pair up with authentic Italian outdoor treading that provides a substantial foundation for those who step foot in them.
For parties interested in picking up a pair, note that the John Elliott Speed Lace Up Boot “Desert Suede” is available now on the brand’s website for $598 USD.
Elsewhere in footwear news, two Carhartt x Converse Chuck 70 Hi colorways have been unveiled.
