Coleen Rooney revealed she was forced to run an errand mid-trial as her husband was in desperate need of a new suit.
The 37-year-old mother-of-four reflected on her time in court with fellow WAG Rebekah Vardy, 41, for the first time during a recent interview.
During her chat, she opened up about her life at that time and admitted her husband caused her a bit of bother in the middle of the ordeal.
She explained why Marks & Spencer saved the couple after former footballer Wayne, 37, struggled to fit into his suit.
Coleen told British Vogue about her excursion to the retailer and said that her athlete husband ran into a formalwear fashion fiasco.
She shared: ‘It was the day before we were going to London and I was like, “Where are all your suits?”
‘He was like, “They don’t fit me.” So I’m like, “S***!” It had to be a quick fix in Marks & Spencer.’
Following the trial, the ex-Manchester United star and England captain is said to be watching his weight and actively trying to shift three stone.
A source explained to The Mirror: ‘Wayne likes to game late into the night and has got into the habit of snacking on pizza and high-carb stuff while he does it.
‘That has taken its toll on his waistline and now he’s heavier than he’d really like to be.
‘So he’s trying to cut down on the late grazing and is trying to get on top of his weight gain by eating healthier dinners – lots of salmon, chicken and broccoli.
‘He’s naturally a pizza, pasta and pies kind of guy and is no great lover of salad but he’s doing his best because he does want to slim down.’
Elsewhere in her interview, the famous WAG also touched on her marriage to the football star and admitted they had to work through Wayne’s bad behaviour after it hit headlines.
She explained: ‘We’ve never backed away from it. We own it. I remember having a conversation about this with someone and I said, “Well, do you know what your wife gets up to every day and night? At least I know what my husband’s doing!”
‘It mightn’t be good, but I know. People lie to themselves.’
