Word on the street is that Caitlyn Jenner turned down a second stint on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

The ITV show will return for a very special all stars edition this spring, with Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly welcoming back a whole host of jungle favourites.

Former campmates will compete in Bushtucker Trials all over again, with the hopes of being crowned the first ever I’m A Celebrity Legend.

And while a stellar line-up has been confirmed, there’s one person who won’t be ditching their home comforts for a life of rice and beans.

Keeping Up With The Kardashians star Caitlyn, 73, is said to have been too busy to return to I’m A Celeb, having first appeared on the show in 2019.

However, bosses were keen to book her.

A source close to the Olympian told The Mirror: ‘They reached out and her schedule didn’t allow for it.’

The series was filmed in South Africa last year and will air at the end of April, but clearly, Caitlyn was all booked up.

At the time of her first (and probably only) stint in the jungle, the TV star was thought to be the highest-paid entrant ever, paid a whopping £500,000.

Caitlyn was eliminated in sixth place, having set up camp with the likes of Nadine Coyle, Myles Stephenson, Roman Kemp, and Kate Garraway in the most dysfunctional family you can imagine before Jacqueline Jossa went on to win.

Following her appearance, Caitlyn had nothing but good things to say about her co-stars, despite leaving their group WhatsApp group on the plane home!

Speaking to Daily Star, she said: ‘It’s a tremendous bond, what we went through, you never forget that.

‘I’m A Celebrity is about the people, it’s not about where they’re at. You’re in the jungle, it’s not easy but the show is about the people.

‘Isolated from the world, forced to deal with themselves.’

Meanwhile, the 2023 South Africa line-up may not include Caitlyn, but it is very exciting, as a whole host of jungle faves are back on our screens.

The line-up consists of: Carol Vorderman, Paul Burrell, Jordan Bango, Shaun Ryder, Helen Flanagan, Fatima Whitbread, Phil Tuffnel, Amir Khan, and Janice Dickinson.

Speaking about the upcoming series, Ant said: ‘It’s a question we always get asked, “Who would you bring back to the jungle?”

‘So, to get this opportunity to make a brand new show in South Africa and put some of our previous campmates through their paces again was the dream.’

Dec added: ‘It’s bigger and wilder than we could have hoped for so viewers are in for a real treat!’

I’m A Celebrity… South Africa will air on ITV1 and ITVX at the end of April.
