Emily Adams Bode Aujla often depicts family history in her work, constantly looking to the past for inspiration. The designer’s antiquated imprint tells bloodline tales through an ethereal lens, seen across co-ed collections with a nostalgic attitude.

Bode‘s Spring/Summer 2024 collection honors her mother’s working-class background, taking inspiration from the residential grounds where she worked in 1976. A unique 90-year-old woman owned the Crane Estate back in the day, explored alongside previous wedding motifs.

Bode captured the collection inside a dated home reminiscent of Crane Estate, first showcasing a young girl wearing a stripped and buttoned dress sitting on disheveled bedding. The designer’s embroidered garments were delivered across tonal shirting that grew vines, wavy workwear jackets, and ribboned blazers with treasured horse detailing. As always, Bode showed a strong inclination toward knitwear this season, while dainty womenswear was practical and elegant with a vintage aura.

Furthermore, Bode prepared for the summertime in its own way, previewing animal-decorated knitted shorts paired with muted striped cardigans, graphic word tees, and preppy “Gloucester Yacht Club” polo shirts.
