Adele Tearfully Postpones Her Vegas Residency Due to COVID Delays
Sad news, Adele fans: the “Easy on Me” singer has unfortunately postponed her Las Vegas residency. She tearfully broke the news in a video posted on her Instagram page saying, “I’m so sorry, but my show ain’t ready. We’ve tried absolutely everything we can to put it together in time and for it to be good enough for you, but we’ve been absolutely destroyed by delivery delays and COVID.” She went on to reveal that half of her crew and team are sick with COVID and it has been “impossible to finish the show.”
“I’m gutted — I’m sorry it’s so last minute, we’ve been awake for over 30 hours trying to figure it out and we’ve run out of time. I’m so upset and I’m really embarrassed and so sorry to everyone that traveled to get [to the show]. I’m really, really sorry,” she concluded. Adele was set to kick off her Weekends With Adele residency on Jan. 21 at the Colosseum of Las Vegas’ Caesars Palace Hotel. She originally announced her 12-week Las Vegas residency via Twitter on Nov. 30. According to her, all dates will be rescheduled with more information coming soon.
