Yungblud has announced that his new self-titled album will be released on September 2 via Locomotion/Geffen Records.

The rocker shared the news about his third studio album in a livestream in the midst of being tattooed on his ribcage by famous tattoo artist Emily Malice.

Yungblud, who was born Dominic Harrison, issued a statement on Instagram regarding the upcoming album, saying, “Everything up to this moment has been a complete explosion of uncensored expression, where I just told the truth and sang about what I felt in that exact moment.”

“The difference here is that i have thought and felt this record so deeply. i went to a part of myself that I didn’t know was there. i studied it, i bathed in the emotion, tried to solve the equation and come up with an answer (at least for now) from love to pain, adoration to abandonment, laughter to betrayal,” he added.

The reason why he titled the album YUNGBLUD is “because nothing in my life has ever made more sense,” according to the 24 year old musician.

Yungblud, who is currently on the European leg of his Life On Mars world tour, will start the North American leg on September 13, following the release of the new album.
