Preparations for Strictly Come Dancing series 19 are finally underway as the professionals begin training for the latest outing. However, some eagle-eyed fans have noticed something amiss with the latest update from the rehearsal studio.

This comes after dancer Amy Dowden took to social media to share a shot of her and some of her fellow pros.

The striking picture from a photoshoot featured stars like Oti Mabuse, Giovanni Pernice and Katya Jones.

Alongside them were several of the new dancers joining the show.

Amy also posted another photo of her and Katya with Nikita Kuzmin.

Alongside the snaps, she penned: “So excited @bbcstrictly.”

However, fans were confused why not all of the professional dancers were pictured.

Among those not in the photos were Dianne Buswell, Karen Hauer and Gorka Marquez.

Neil Jones, Johannes Radebe and Aljaž Škorjanec also didn’t appear in the pictures.

Posting below, one concerned follower wrote: “Gorgeous but where’s Dianne, Karen, Gorka and Neil and Aljaz?” (sic)

Another penned below the post: “Where’s @aljazskorjanec?”

“Where’s Gorka?” continued another in the post below the picture.

A fourth questioned: “@diannebuswell are u in this series?”(sic)

Although, one fan suggested it may have been because the photoshoot was just to introduce new professional dancers.

They penned: “This shoot was to introduce the new pros so I’m assuming they haven’t needed all of the older ones.

“Seems like they only required a few of the old pros to take some photos.”

Another also suggested: “I think that the group dance – that’s why some of them are not there?”

Dianne was also quick to calm down rumours as she reacted to the pictures with fire and love heart emojis.

Some of the celebrities have also been teasing training starting ahead of the series’ launch show.

Dan Walker shared more insight on BBC Breakfast this morning.

He said: “On day one of Strictly training, you’re just sort of shoved into the full sparkles and sequins.

“Then there’s the point at which they say, ‘Right there’s some music, just dance a bit’.

“And I was like hold on a minute, you’re gonna teach me how to do this, I never felt so exposed in my entire life.”

The broadcaster added: “I was trying to be cool, trying to smile through it while I was melting inside, and I even tripped over a Glitterball!”
