Former Love Island star Scott Thomas has signed fellow Islander Jacques O’Neill to his management agency and said he’s “excited to help guide” the 23 year old “through his journey”.

Viewers were recently left in tears as they watched Jacques leave the villa after admitting he wasn’t feeling like himself and fearing he could “get physical” with bombshell and love rival Adam Collard.

And Scott, who is the management director of The Social PR, has praised Jacques for “protecting his mental health” and making the “courageous” decision to depart the ITV2 show.

He exclusively told OK!: “We’re really excited to be representing Jaqs at The Social PR. We were big fans of him on the show and we really respected some of the courageous decisions he made to protect his own mental health.

“His honesty and vulnerability was admirable. I’m personally really excited to help guide Jaqs through his journey after being through the whole process myself and learning so much along the way.

“I’ve managed to build an incredible agency and team over the last 8 years. We feel the future is bright for Jaqs and we’re looking forward to giving him the support he deserves.”

Jacques added: “I’m really excited to be signing with The Social PR.

"I’ve seen some of the great work and results they’ve achieved over the last few years.

"I feel like Scott and the team have the experience I need to help me on this next phase of my journey!”

The professional rugby player bravely admitted that he had been crying “every day” in the villa and called signing up to the programme the “worst decision of my life”.

Before his exit Jacques was coupled up with Welsh paramedic Paige Thorne, and after a rocky road following Casa Amor, the pair seemed to be going from strength to strength.

But the entrance of series four Islander and original bombshell Adam caused tension between the pair.

And following Jacques’ exit Paige has since recoupled with personal trainer Adam, with the pair recently becoming exclusive.

As well as Jacques, who has spoken out about his struggle with ADHD, The Social PR also represents the likes of former Love Island star Mary Bedford and I’m A Celebrity… winner and former Emmerdale actor Danny Miller.

Scott starred on the second series of the dating show back in 2015. He finished in third place with his former girlfriend Kady McDermott behind winners Cara De La Hoyde and Nathan Massey and runners-up Olivia and Alex Bowen.

He and Jacques celebrated teaming up together at Peter Street Kitchen in Manchester, where they enjoyed food and drinks and marked the launch of the restaurant’s new menu.

Also in attendance was Scott’s brother, former Coronation Street actor Ryan Thomas, his niece Scarlett, who will star in Waterloo Road later this year, and their mum Gail.
