It's been a big day for the royal family with an array of different events going on, on Saturday 4 June.

The Platinum Jubilee celebrations are well and truly under way, and while the Queen has been "enjoying them from her sofa" as Zara Phillips shared, other royals were out in force representing Her Majesty.

Today alone there's been the Episom Derby, the Jubilee concert and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's trip to Wales with the kids in tow.

Here, we take a look at the best photos from the jam-packed day…

The Queen's comedy sketch

The Queen appeared in a surprise comic sketch with Paddington Bear to mark the start of her the Jubilee concert.

Her Majesty was seen sitting across the table from the adorable toy to enjoy some tea and treats, but it soon turned into chaos as the accident-prone fan-favourite character drank all the tea.

The sketch started with a royal staff member carrying a tray into a room where the Queen and Paddington Bear are sat waiting.

The beloved bear then reached for the teapot and drank the majority of its contents before offering the monarch some. When she gestured for it, they realised there was only a drop left.

Paddington Bear then got up and accidentally sprayed cream from a chocolate eclair all over the place, including on a Palace Footman.

Royal fans were left delighted at the sketch.

Prince William shows George how to do cufflinks

Royal fans saw a sweet father-son moment between Princes George and William as the doting dad showed his eight year old son how to wear cufflinks.

Prince William, Kate Middleton and their two eldest children George and Charlotte, six, promptly arrived at this evening’s Party at the Palace located outside Buckingham Palace.

As the family sat down in their front-row seats the camera panned across the many faces in the Royal box, and showed William chatting to his eldest son and demonstrating how to wear the smart attire staple.

Beaming as she and brother George, eight, met the performers and crew involved in a special concert in honour of the Queen's 70-year reign, she couldn't help but flash a smile as she swayed from side to side.

After listening to several songs by the orchestra, including Sweet Caroline, she appeared visibly overjoyed when the track from Encanto came on.

She was first a little shy during the concert, but soon opened up and shared a sweet laugh with her dad.

While heir to the throne George was dressed in a smart dark blue suit. And Charlotte matched her big brother as she wore a navy blue coat, with a pair of silver shoes and adorable white socks.
