Piers Morgan, 57, reassured his pal Sir Rod Stewart, 76, that he would once again be back on his TV screen very soon, after the singing legend announced he “misses” seeing him on Good Morning Britain. Following this dramatic departure from the ITV show back in March, Piers revealed plans for his latest project with News UK, that is set to launch next year.
And don’t worry, I’ll be back on your TV soon

The update comes after Rod recently spoke out in an interview about his close friend and how his absence on GMB doesn’t go unnoticed.
In an interview with Radio Times, the rock sensation revealed how “superb” the outspoken presenter really was.
In a screenshot of the magazine that Piers posted to Twitter, Rod had said: “I love Piers and I miss badly.
“He was superb… especially with politicians.
“I think they got to the University of Avoiding Answers.”
After coming across the interview while reading the paper, Piers thanked Rod for his kind words.
“Thanks @rodstewart!
“And don’t worry, I’ll be back on your TV soon.”
Fans quickly rushed to the comments section to share their thoughts with @dovektchens saying: “Good!! Mornings have been dull without you.”
“I can’t wait to see you back on TV!” @Ms_lovelypoison added.
@Blondeleonard questioned: “When? TV has been incredibly boring without you this year! I’ve turned to @LBC to listen to some sensible conversations and entertainment.”
Others however, had a different opinion.
@matty_appleby retorted: “But you didn’t tho Piers you couldn’t even get them on let alone answer questions.”(sic)
“Thank God for remote controls,” @kevwatson65 sighed.
The former host is set to return to TV as part of News UK’s TV channel, talkTV.
In the global deal, Piers will launch a new TV show in early 2022, to air on weeknights in the UK, US and Australia, and present a series of True Crime documentaries.
The channel is a new deal between News Corp and Fox News Media, with Piers also taking on a role as a columnist for The Sun and the New York Post.
In October, Piers put an open call out for people to apply for his new show – but encouraged “annoying woke snowflakes” to give it a miss.
At the tine, News UK were hiring for 10 roles – executive producer, series editor, producers, a writer, a video editor, and a booker.
Sharing the vacancies, Piers wrote: “We’re hiring for my new show & an exciting new TV network. We only want the very best – so no annoying woke snowflakes need apply, thanks.”
