Peter Andre has confessed that he “hates” missing out on his kids’ milestones after missing his son Theo’s sixth birthday last week.
Admitting it’s one of the negatives to his jobs, Pete revealed he was away working so couldn’t be there on his little boy’s big day.
He wrote exclusively in his column: “I was gutted to miss Theo’s sixth birthday as I was away, but we celebrated his birthday before I left and then we’re having a party for him when I’m back.
“I hate missing important things with the kids, it’s the one downside to my job.
“Theo is obsessed with puzzles, so we bought him some and we got him a toy car that he’s been driving up the walls. We also bought him a scooter.”
Pete’s NHS doctor wife Emily, 33, also shared her birthday wishes for their son, sharing a sweet snap of herself cuddling Theo in a garden with the caption: “Happy 6th birthday to my lovely little Theo.
"Such a kind and caring boy [red heart emoji] We are so proud of you! Love you so much xxxxx @peterandre".
Pete and Emily share an eight year old daughter, Amelia, as well as Theo, and Peter is also a proud dad to Junior, 17, and Princess, 15, who he shares with ex-wife Katie Price.
The 49 year old has been busy working away in sunny Jamaica as he films the final part of the feature film he is a part of.
While the singer hasn’t been able to reveal much about the film, in which he plays a main character, he did say in his column: “It’s been going great, but we’re working really hard and filming all hours! I’m really excited for it to be released next summer.”
It’s not the first film Pete has starred in. The presenter appeared in the short film The Inheritance back in 2019 and played a heroin addict.
The film was shot in Los Angeles and Pete was even nominated for best actor at the North Hollywood Film Festival in 2019.
He wrote on Instagram at the time: “Wow wow wow. I’ve been nominated for best actor at the North Hollywood Film Festival.
"Just being nominated is EVERYTHING. Nothing else needs to happen. So so happy."
The star also filmed another short film earlier this month near Birmingham.
