The Mya depicter in ‘Think Like A Man’ wants to become a gun owner to defend and protect herself when someone breaks into her house as the Los Angeles crime rise scares her.
AceShowbiz –Meagan Good aspires to own a gun. The actress portraying Mya in “Think Like A Man” stated that she would feel “more comfortable” with a gun amid rising home invasions and burglary in Los Angeles.
When making an appearance on Charlamagne Tha God‘s show “Tha God’s Honest Truth”, the 40-year-old actress was asked whether she needed a gun for protection. In response, she said, “You know, what’s crazy is [that] for a long time, I felt like I didn’t. But now, with everything that’s going on, I would feel more comfortable with a gun.”
“The reason before my thought was like if something did happen to me, would I have the time to pull out a gun to defend myself?” Meagan continued. The Annie Russell depicter in “The Intruder” added that she will defend herself if she has time to grab the weapon when someone breaks into her house. She stressed, “I don’t want to kill anybody or hurt anybody, but I will defend myself.”
Meagan’s concern over her safety came after Clarence Avant‘s wife, Jacqueline Avant, was shot and killed inside their Beverly Hills home on December 1 by at least one suspect, Aariel Maynor, during a home invasion robbery. At the time, Beverly Hills Police Department received a phone call at 2:23 A.M. regarding a shooting on the 1100 block of Maytor Place.
When the authorities arrived at the scene, they found a victim with a gunshot wound but the suspect was no longer at the scene. The cops said Jaqueline was transported to a local hospital by the Beverly Hills Fire Department paramedics but she didn’t survive.
In late October, “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Dorit Kemsley‘s house in Encino was invaded by three men. The reality TV star reportedly was held at gunpoint that left her “traumatized.”
“First of all, I was completely taken off guard,” Dorit recalled the scary moments. “[The burglars] were surprised to see me at home… When they did, they pushed me to the ground. They said, ‘Who else is in the home?’ ” Dorit’s children, Jagger and Phoenix, were asleep in bed at the time of the robbery, while her husband was in London.
“There was someone else who said, ‘Just kill her, just kill her already, just kill her,’ and all I could think of [was], ‘I have to save those babies,’ ” Dorit continued. “I begged them, I begged for my life, and begged for their life.” Dorit went on to say, “I said, ‘I don’t care about any of it, take it all. You can have it all. Please, I’m a mother of babies. Please, they need me. Please don’t hurt me.’ “
The surveillance footage of the terrifying robbery at Dorit’s home was released by the Los Angeles Police Department on November 8. “Both suspects threatened to kill her as she pleaded for her life and the lives of her young children,” police revealed in a news release. The authorities also said that Dorit had no choice but to lead the suspects to her valuables “in fear for her safety.”
