Louise Thompson, 32, has paid tribute to her brother's 30th birthday, but revealed she was “devastated” to have missed his trip away to celebrate.

Taking to her Instagram the Made in Chelsea shared a picture of her brother holding her 9month old son, Leo, which she captioned: “I am devastated not to be there to celebrate with you in person on this big milestone, but I’m spending the day thinking of you guys, looking through all the photos and missing you like mad”.

She went on to say that there were “lots of nice things” that she could say, but mainly being “super proud” of who her brother has “become over the past few years”, Louise added that she couldn't “believe how grown up” he has become.

“Living with your dream girl, talking about upcoming projects and investments, working on exciting new shows and even giving me advice,” she said.

“Up until recently I still thought of you as my 18 year old baby brother, but in this past year something has changed – you’re actually an adult now. You always used to say ‘later Sam’ will deal with that, referring to your grown up self dealing with problems, and that time has come. You can handle anything like a champ” she continued.

Crowned the winner of ‘Come Dine With Me – MIC Special’, a one-off commission to celebrate the 100th episode in 2015, she continued by saying "You are LATER SAM. You’ve achieved more than most will in their lifetime and I genuinely see you as someone I can learn a lot from. You are an inspiration to me and many others".

Praising her brother she said, “I feel incredibly lucky to have you as my sibling because I know not all brothers and sisters get along. In fact I don’t know what I would do without you living next door. Family and friends have got me through the last year of hell”.

Reminiscing about their childhood days, Louise said, “It hasn’t always been that way though. What started out as me chasing you round the sofa trying to pull your hair out, verbally annihilating you, thinking that I’m way cooler than you and refusing to hang out with you and your friends has blossomed into such an indestructible friendship. I’m blessed to have you in my life”.

“It’s funny how things change, now everyone I know wants to know you. Everyone always asks after you because you are one of the most interesting people I know.

“You have the best stories and you are also incredibly funny. I admire you for always going against the grain, I wish I could do that.

The 'Jump' Contestant ended the sweet post with, “Never change. Keep doing you and take over the world. Love always L” using the kiss and heart emoji., and tagging @samthompsonuk.

Following the traumatic birth of her first child Leo, Louse has been receiving treatment for her health issues, where she admitted that she felt more safe in the hospital than at home.
