Kylie Jenner has taken the official steps to legally change her son’s name from Wolf Jacques to Aire Webster. The young mogul welcomed her second child with the rapper Travis Scott in February of last year, adding another bundle of joy to their growing family.

Last year, Kylie, 25, and Travis, 32, announced their decision to change their son's name, with the Kylie Cosmetics founder explaining that it simply didn't suit him. In March 2022, Kylie posted on her Instagram story: “FYI our sons name isn’t Wolf anymore.”

She continued: “We just really didn’t feel like it was him. Just wanted to share because I keep seeing Wolf everywhere.”

The unique moniker is also one rarely seen in the US, with just five out of every million babies sporting the name. The name, which means “lion of god” in Hebrew, immediately sent fans into a frenzy, with many questioning how to pronounce it properly.

“Do you think it’s pronounced air or airey?” wrote one curious fan.

To which Kylie responded: “AIR” alongside a red heart emoji.

However, some fans were quick to point out that her son’s name has a rather rude meaning in another language.

“I wish you did research beforehand. In some Arab countries, his name means penis,” wrote one person in the comments section, while a second added: “God help her if she comes to the Middle East.”

Previously explaining the name change, Kylie said: “We didn’t really have a name, I just thought it was going to come to us when we saw him and it didn’t.

“24 hours before we had to sign the birth certificate, or else they just register him without a name and he doesn’t get a social security number… So I felt the pressure to choose a name, and then Khloe said, the day before we sign, “What about Wolf?”.

The star continued: “I like the WW, so we just put Wolf Webster in that moment. Right after I signed the birth certificate, I was like, “What did I just do?” It’s a part of his story but his name has changed.”

Kylie and Travis, whose real name is Jacques Bermon Webster II, have been dating since April 2017. The pair welcomed their first child, Stormi, in February 2018, after Kylie kept her entire pregnancy under wraps and stayed off social media for nine months.

In September 2021, Kylie revealed she was expecting her second child with Travis, with the couple then announcing the arrival of their baby son in February 2022.

Back in May, the reality star treated her fans to a rare video of her son on TikTok, showcasing a tender moment with Aire as he starts walking. In the clip, Kylie and her adorable little boy basked in the sunlight as they took a leisurely walk hand-in-hand.
