Speaking on FUBAR Radio, Katie reveals her latest purchase – her own recording studio.

Speaking to hosts Bobby Norris and Stephen Leng on Access All Areas, the mum-of-five said: “Obviously I muck about on Instagram.

"When I say I want to be on The Masked Singer or I want to be on The Voice, everyone takes the mickey out of me saying, ‘oh shut up Kate. You really think you can sing?’

"I'm like, yeah, I can actually. And they're like, ‘well, I don't know what you hear.’”

She told anyone who doesn't like her voice not to listen – and refuses to take her boyfriend's advice and give up on her dream.

Katie said: “I'm not giving up. I'm going to do it. If you don't want to hear it, don't tap on and listen!”

The star is already making a podcast and says episode one will be a must-listen.

She will talk more about son Harvey and the family's battle and she is already loving getting her ideas off the ground.

“The first one I'm going to talk with Anna Kennedy," she said. "She was on my show (Harvey and Me).

"So many people have written me letters wanting help or answers, so I'm going to do one around that, reading letters and getting in contact with them people to see what I can help or discuss their letters because I think it's good for people to know I do receive their letters.

"Obviously I can't read everything, but I try my best just to acknowledge it because I don't know everything, but at least I can help and pass on what I know or try and guide them in the right way.”

Another episode will feature her mum Amy, who’s currently battling the terminal illness Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis.

"It’s a chance for her to talk about what people will relate to," Katie adds.

"She hasn't seen Harvey, and obviously her IPF, what it's like going through that and just a bit with people who've gone through the lung stuff.

"So that’s the catch up with my mum and then the list goes on.”
