Julia Fox doesn’t hold back. That’s what we love about her!
So when online rumors started about celebs reportedly rushing to the diabetes drug Ozempic to help with weight loss, you just knew the actress is going to weigh in. And this weekend, that’s exactly what she did!
Of course, Hollywood stars have been fighting off Ozempic accusations for a while now. Notably, popular Real Housewives of Beverly Hills veteran Kyle Richards has very strongly denied using the medication to help tone up her body and cut down to a ripped and powerful physique. The rumor mill has gotten so crazy around Tinseltown that Jimmy Kimmel carved out some time during his Oscars opening monologue earlier this month to joke about the drug’s super-fast spread all around El Lay!!
Those rumors have extended to the Uncut Gems actress, too. After all, she’s been noticeably thinner in recent months following her ill-fated relationship with Kanye West and other high-profile public appearances. But when asked whether Ozempic was the cause behind the rumors, the 33-year-old slammed the supposition!
Speaking to ET about it on Sunday while promoting the second season of her podcast Forbidden Fruits, Fox said:
“All these people are coming for me saying that I take the weight loss things — people are saying that I’m taking Ozempic or whatever it’s called. I’m not and I’ve never have.”
Worried about leaving the drug for the people it’s specifically meant for — diabetics — Fox continued:
“I would never do that. There are diabetics that need it.”
Well OK then! That got cleared up pretty quick.
Fox also took time during the ET chat to address one other infamous viral moment attached to her: that apartment tour TikTok video that went viral back in late January. As Perezcious readers will recall, fans freaked out after seeing the actress’ shockingly normal New York City pad– complete with some mice living inside the walls!
But she took a moment in this weekend’s interaction to slam social media users for criticizing her rodent roommates:
“I feel like a lot of people outed themselves for never having been to New York when the outrage about the mouse happened, because it’s like, everybody has mice here! It’s when you have rats that you need to regulate. very important distinction.”
And she made a joke about being too tired to get rid of them, so instead she’s chosen to keep them around as “pets” for the fam:
“When I was little, I used to have so much fun catching them and releasing them. But now, it’s like, I’m tired and, like, do I wanna go catch a mouse after a 16-hour day? No, I’m just gonna convince myself that the mouse is a pet.”
Hey, when life hands you lemons, you make lemonade!
BTW, one thing Julia didn’t mention? Baby bro Christopher Fox‘s arrest this month on drug and ghost gun charges. Which, yeah, we totally understand her desire to omit that from the interview. It’s not an easy convo to have right now. Although TBF, she has addressed the scandal recently on social media…
