Country singer-songwriterJon Pardi is set to be officially inducted as a member of the Grand Ole Opry during two shows on October 24th.

Pardi was invited to become a member of the Opry in April during his appearance at the Stagecoach festival.

While performing at the festival, Pardi was surprised onstage by his friend and Emmy Award-winning restauranteur Guy Fieri, who introduced him to a video on the big screen where Opry member and Country Music Hall of Famer Alan Jackson appeared with the official invite for the country star.

“Hello Jon and everybody at Stagecoach,” Jackson said in the clip. “[The] Grand Ole Opry has always meant a lot to me and everybody in country music and I’ve been appreciating your music ever since you were touring with me a few years ago and so I get the honor to invite you in front of all your Stagecoach friends out there to be the first native of California to become an official member of the Grand Ole Opry. So congratulations, Jon, here’s to you…”

“I moved to Nashville chasing a dream at 22 years old and now I’m here. I love you guys and I love country music. Thank you, everybody. This is an amazing night. I’ll never forget it,” said an emotional Pardi after the announcement. “I always wondered how this might happen if it was going to. I never imagined anything this great. That was incredible.”
