Jesy Nelson has signalled that her new era will be upon us soon by wiping all of her Instagram posts and unfollowing everyone.

The former Little Mix star, 30, is rumoured to be releasing her first solo single next month, but has purged her Instagram account of all her old photos and videos, even replacing her profile photo with a blank pink image.

Jesy gave no warning beforehand, but sources have claimed she is gearing up to finally let fans hear what she’s been cooking up in the studio in recent months.

A source told The Sun that Jesy’s upcoming album ‘has all come together quite quickly’.

They added; ‘Her new record label Polydor are keen to strike while the iron is hot, so they are throwing everything at her project and want the first single out in a matter of weeks.’

Jesy has reportedly spent the past few days in rehearsals with dancers for the music video to go with her first release, with sources claiming the track is ‘more upbeat than some might be expecting.’

She had announced in December that she would be leaving Little Mix after nine years in the chart-topping girl band, in order to focus on her mental health.

The insider added: ‘The difference this time is that she is not comparing herself to her bandmates. It’s been so refreshing for her.

‘Jesy has been working hard and is feeling really positive about this new chapter of her career.’

She told Cosmopolitan UK, that her leaving the band was not to take a step away from the limelight entirely but to stop the comparison between her and the other members.

Jesy explained: ‘I feel like there’s been a few people who don’t understand why I left Little Mix but am now in the studio making music. A lot of people said, “I thought you came out of the band to focus on your mental health?”

‘I never said when I put out my statement, that I was coming out of the band to never be in the public eye, perform again or do music. I said I was coming out of the band because I genuinely couldn’t deal with the pressure of being in a girl band.’
