Jeremy Renner got a little help from one of his fellow Avengers after his horrific snowplow accident!

As we’ve previously reported, the 52-year-old actor was run over by his 14,330-lb PistenBully snowplow while helping a family member get a “stuck” car out of the snow back on January 1. The accident resulted in Jeremy suffering “blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries” and breaking over 30 bones in his body, which required him to go through several surgeries. So, so awful. Following the near-death experience, there is no doubt that The Avengers star needed a ton of support during the recovery process. And he got it from one of his dear friends and co-stars!

During a new interview with Diane Sawyer, Jeremy revealed that his The Hurt Locker and Marvel co-star Anthony Mackie stayed right by his side while he recovered from his extensive injuries. When Diana asked what was “the best thing anyone said to you” after the accident, he responded that “it’s the actions” meant more to him than the words, adding:

“Mackie was there at my bedside in Reno.”

Nothing reveals to you who your true friends are quite like going through some hard times! But Anthony wasn’t the only co-star to send him support and well wishes. Evangeline Lilly shared with Access Hollywood back in February how she was amazed by Jeremy’s recovery so far, noting how he “recovered like a mo-fo” only one month after the accident:

“I walked in his house and got chicken skin, ’cause I was like, ‘Why are you mobile? Why are you mobile? What’s happening?’ I expected to sit at his bedside and hold his hand while he moaned and groaned in pain and wasn’t able to move. He was wheeling himself around, laughing with his friends. It’s a miracle, a straight-up miracle.”

Meanwhile, Chris Evans kept things lighthearted on social media with Jeremy while reacting to one of The Bourne Legacy star’s social media posts about his recovery. The 41-year-old actor wrote:

“That’s one tough mf’er. Has anyone even checked on the snowcat??? Sending so much love”

To which, Jeremy responded:

“Love you brother…. I did check on the snow cat , she needs fuel.”

It is great to see that Jeremy had such a great support system after experiencing such a traumatic accident. Reactions, Perezcious readers? Let us know in the comments below.
