The Crown series five premiere: Princess Diana actress Elizabeth Debicki wows in black strapless gown as she joins on-screen husband Dominic West, Imelda Staunton, and Gillian Anderson at screening

Elizabeth Debicki, Dominic West, Imelda Staunton and Gillian Anderson led the stars attending the premiere of The Crown season five in London on Tuesday.

Actress Elizabeth, who plays Princess Diana in the new season, cut a glamorous figure on the red carpet in a black sleeveless gown.

The strapless garment also featured a matching stripe detail while Elizabeth added height to her frame with a pair of heels.

Also sporting several gold necklaces, the TV star styled her blonde locks into an updo for the star-studded event.

Elizabeth was joined on the red carpet by child actors Will Powell and Timothee Sambor who star as Prince William and Prince Harry.  

Imelda Staunton, who takes over the role of Queen Elizabeth II from Claire Foy, opted for a black blazer and matching trousers along with a crisp white shirt. 

Dominic West, who takes over the role of the then Prince Charles from Josh O’Connor, looked dapper in a black suit with a white shirt.

The actor attended the premiere alongside his wife Catherine FitzGerald and their four children Senan, Dora, Francis and Cristabel. 

Gillian Anderson, who portrayed Margaret Thatcher in season four, donned a black sleeveless gown with a bejewelled embellishment.

Claudia Harrison, who portrays Princess Anne in the Netflix drama, looked elegant in a black off the shoulder dress.

The outfit also featured a high leg split along with a waist strap and a layered detail on the shoulder.

Erin Richards, who plays Kelly Fisher, the ex-girlfriend of Princess Diana’s partner Dodi Fayed, opted for a baby pink long-sleeved midi dress.

The garment featured a high collar  while Erin also opted for a pair of mauve heels and silver earrings.

Lesley Manville, who plays Princess Margaret, looked sensational in a black short-sleeved dress with a sequinned detail.

The garment had a lace detail along the neckline along with a sheer detail while Lesley also wore a pair of matching heels. 

Olivia Williams, who stars as Camilla Parker Bowles, effortlessy turned heads in a bright red blazer and matching trousers.

The Victoria & Abdul star’s outfit also featured a tassel detail while she added height to her frame with matching heels.

Wearing her brunette locks in an updo, Olivia accessorised with a silver clutch bag as she posed for the cameras.

Marcia Warren, who portrays The Queen Mother, donned a burgundy patterned dress with a matching shawl and bright red shoes.

The actress also wore a bright red necklace and added to her outfit with a bejewelled gold handbag.

Khalid Abdalla, who plays Dodi Fayed in  the new season, attended the premiere alongside his wife Cressida Trew.

The actor looked dapper in a black suit while his partner opted for a navy long-sleeves dress with a plunging neckline.  

Radiant: Emma Weymouth cut a glamorous figure as she attended the premiere of The Crown season five in London on Tuesday

Emma Weymouth ensured all eyes were on her as she walked the red carpet in a black strapless gown with a flowing train.

The garment featured a sweetheart neckline while Emma also sported a matching black cardigan.

The former Strictly Come Dancing star added to her outfit with silver earrings with an emerald jewel embellishment.

Letting her raven locks fall loose down her shoulders, Emma added to her look with a light palette of makeup.

The fifith season of The Crown follows Queen Elizabeth II and the Royal family through the 1990s, with Imelda Staunton playing the late monarch.

Emma has been married to Viscount Weymouth Ceawlin Thynn, 48, since June 2013, with the couple sharing sons John, six, and Henry, four.

The boys’ official titles are The Honourable John Alexander Ladi Thynn and The Honourable Henry Richard Isaac Thynn.

On her wedding day, Emma became the first black marchioness in British history.

Yet in November Emma said she doesn’t want her skin colour to be a ‘defining characteristic’ and is a reluctant role model after becoming Britain’s first black marchioness.

The Marchioness, who is the daughter of a Nigerian oil tycoon, appeared on the cover of Tatler in November 2021 talking about her grand plans for her family’s Longleat estate.

In the interview she said she had a ‘responsibility’ to maintain the estate.

In the past Emma has also talked about raising her sons on the Longleat estate which contains an enormous wildlife Park.

In 2014 she told Hello! magazine that her eldest son John was getting a varied education from living around animals.

She said: ‘He’s learned to roar from being around the Longleat safari park lions and the animatronic dinosaurs. He can make monkey noises, too.’
