Sara Davies, 37, has given fans an insight into her morning off after an intense instalment of the BBC show. Last night’s edition saw the Dragon’s Den star become emotional as she spoke to the judges.

Today, she posted on her Instagram stories a candid snap of herself sleeping.

Her photograph shows her wearing leopard print pyjamas as she hugs her duvet in her sleep.

Sara captioned the image: “This is how I’ve spent the majority of my afternoon – omg I didn’t realise I was so tired – the adrenaline must have been free flowing and just ran out when I got home!”

She continued: “Most of the time the boys were tucked in behind me for cuddles so it was actually a lovely peaceful afternoon.”

In a later post, Sara also admitted she had ordered food from fast food chain KFC for lunch.

In the picture, she could be seen still wearing her pyjamas and with her Strictly hairstyle still in place.

She penned: “And me hair still hasn’t budged” [sic]

The TV star added: “ Sunday dinner… I couldn’t face cooking so we’ve had Sunday luck courtesy of KFC.”

She also added the hashtag “badmamalert” as she posed with her meal.

Last night’s instalment saw both Sara and her pro partner Aljaz Skorjanec unable to fight back the tears.

Sara confessed it had been “really hard” to gather the self-confidence to return to the dance floor, after being in “that space at the bottom” in the first week.

Speaking to host Claudia Winkleman after her Foxtrot, Sara explained: “It’s really hard to go from that space at the bottom and have the self-confidence to go and do it.”

Claudia responded: “We are feeling for you.”

Turning to Aljaz, she continued: “Aljaz it is down to your teaching.

“It is your favourite dance. Did you always know that Sara was a ballroom girl?”

Aljaz explained: “Look, it’s not down to my teaching.

“We’re always the best plus-ones we can possibly be.

“But I knew from day one that we’re going to love this dance and to be teaching you it’s a privilege, it’s a joy.

“And at that moment right there… it made me cry halfway through and it wasn’t even finished yet.

“No one can take that away from us forever and I’m so happy and pleased that I was a part of that.
