A Place In The Sun presenter Danni Menzies has endured her fair share of trolling. However the Edinburgh-born beauty was keen to show followers her nonchalance when she gave her reaction to trolling she received yesterday.

Probably best word ever to describe us!

After posting video footage of herself exercising in a sports bra and dancing around to let off some steam, she attracted the attention of a follower who branded her an “alien”.

The presenter, who was keeping it simple in a white bralet and black leggings, instantly hit back.

“My fav comment so far is that @loucbarton and I look like aliens in this post.

“I know they were trying to be mean but it tickled me.

“Probably best word ever to describe us!”

She also posted a video of the pair working out to Chumbawamba’s Tubthumping, with the chorus: “I get knocked down but I get up again”.

Sending a message of defiance to trolls that they really would never “keep me down”, she continued to sway around with her pal.

She described the soundtrack to their antics as “one of the bangers from tonight’s class” and urged onlookers to “wait for the wiggle”.

She has also posted a self-empowerment message for anyone feeling down, whether due to trolling or any other reason, with the release of a T-shirt emblazoned with: “It’s Ok To Feel S***”.

All of the profits from the venture, which was advertised with a photo of Danni wearing the shirt while blowing a kiss, will be sent to fund the youth mental health charity @youngmindsuk.

The photo was reposted by @sohappyintown, who yesterday wrote: “@danni.menzies reminding us all that #itsoktofeels*** but it’s a lot more ok if you don’t feel alone.”

Meanwhile, the harsh words of trolls will no doubt be small fry to Danni after enduring far more gruelling experiences of her own.

In the earlier stages of her career, when on a modelling job in Mexico, the presenter narrowly avoided kidnap, claiming that the agency she was representing owed money to rivals who were out of revenge.

“I pretty much got followed from the moment I got off the plane.. [and] the whole time we were there,” she told actor and producer Louis Strong on his podcast, Headstrong back in 2021.

“I probably nearly got kidnapped three or four times.

In a move that totally intimidated her, an unknown intruder crept it and removed the bolts from her bedroom door while she was out.

“The last night in Mexico City, I had my sofa pushed up against the front door with a pair of scissors in my hand!” she recalled of the terrifying experience.

“At 5am I went straight to the airport and got out of there.”

These days, her career journey continues, but with a trusted crew accompanying her to exotic destinations for A Place In The Sun, Danni feels much safer.
