Chloe Madeley has revealed she feared her daughter Bodhi had sepsis and meningitis after ended up in hospital twice.

Taking to Instagram, the fitness fanatic confessed she was left feeling "extremely worried" when her daughter's temperature spiked.

Sharing a sweet black and white video of her playing with her daughter, who was born in August, Chloe wrote: "My little love has been very poorly this week. 2 trips to hospital and a lot of tears.

"Her temperature went from 39.8° on Saturday morning to 34° on Sunday night, so I was extremely worried about meningitis and sepsis, but blood tests show its just the Flu Type A Virus.

"I say just, wow has she been unwell. Has anyone else had their little one’s temp drop that low with flu virus? Im still a bit confused as to how / why that happened."

Chloe, who shares Bodhi with her former rugby player husband James Haskell, continued as she praised the NHS for looking after her little one: "I’m also amazed at how much it has impacted my sleep and work load, and how hard the last 5 days have been.

"I just want to say to any and all mothers out there who have to make these kinds of trips and deal with these kinds of things on a regular basis, that I am in AWE of you.

"That you are real life superheroes. That you amaze me. And also to the doctors and nurses pulling the graveyard shifts in paediatric A&E, thank you, you are the best of us."

The 35 year old's followers were quick to share their sympathy with the star, with one writing: "There is nothing worse, and more terrifying. Hope she is on the mend now, sending love to you both x".

A second added: "So glad your babba is ok. Being a Mama takes you to every possible emotion. Sending lots of love and hugs xxx".

Chloe and James exclusively shared news of Bodhi's arrival with OK!, telling us: “We are delighted to welcome to the world our daughter. We are utterly besotted and beaming with pride."

They also shared the first sweet snap of their bundle joy, with the picture showing their baby girl's tiny hand.

But Bodhi's arrival wasn't plain sailing however, with Chloe telling us her difficult eight-hour induced labour ended in a C-section as they exclusively introduced her to the world.

“Like many women can relate to, my birth did not go to plan whatsoever,” she said.

“It was small steps that over the course of 48 hours took me further and further away from what I’d planned.

"When it was all unfolding, it was really overwhelming and upsetting, and I finally understood why women freak out when things don’t go to plan."
