After police pull the ‘Not a Sad Song’ spitter over during a night drive with his son, one officer approaches the rapper’s vehicle while pulling a gun on him.

AceShowbizChance the Rapper has come to John Gabbana (previously known as Boonk Gang)’s defense. After watching a clip of the latter’s confrontation with police, the “Cocoa Butter Kisses” rapper was quick to voice his condemnation.

On Monday night, October 18, John shared some videos of him having an altercation with Florida police. It all started after cops approached his car and pulled a gun on him while his son was at the scene.

In the footage, a man who recorded the moment was heard shouting to the police officers for pulling them over for no reason. In the clips, John could be heard repeatedly assuring the officers that “it’s a brand new car.”

It remains unclear why police pulled John over. He also has yet to offer more details about the ordeal. He only wrote in the caption, “Dis jus now happened to me in front of my son! Thank God my brothas was der 2 record it all Smh.. My heart is hurting but God is good.”

The videos were then reposted by The Shade Room on Instagram. It prompted Chance the Rapper to comment, “This is heartbreaking. John is a good dude and got profiled by this weirdo racist FAN while with his child. Glad he’s safe now but this type of s**t be traumatizing nbs.”

Fans also reacted to the incident with one noting, “Damn he’s been doing so good he was targeted fs.” Another added, “Leave that man alone. They look for any reason to mess with us.” A third then chimed in, “they be tryna come up with any kind of excuse for stopping you.”

John once had a run-in with the law back in 2018. He was arrested on suspicion of possessing assault weapons and illegal narcotics at his Calabasas home. He, however, was released on bail.
