To celebrate the spooky festivity, the on-again couple and the ‘Peppermint’ actress take their children to Malibu, California to do trick-or-treating together.

AceShowbizBen Affleck and Jennifer Lopez made this year’s Halloween a family affair. When doing Trick-or-Treat with their respective kids, the new couple was joined by his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner.

The three stars celebrated the festivity in Malibu, California on Sunday, October 31. It was reported that the “Gone Girl” actor and his former spouse spent time with their children at Huckleberry earlier that day.

“Everyone gets along and the focus is always on the kids. Jennifer, Ben and Jen Garner all wanted the kids to have an amazing Halloween,” a source told PEOPLE about the family’s outing. “The kids are friends and wanted to go trick-or-treating together. It made sense that they all went together… Ben is working today again, so they wanted to enjoy a family weekend.”

Ben and Jennifer Garner, who were married from 2005 to 2018, share three children together. They are 15-year-old Violet, 12-year-old Seraphina and 9-year-old Samuel. As for J.Lo, she is a mother to 13-year-old twins Emme and Max, whom she shares with ex-husband Marc Anthony.

Ben and J.Lo sparked reconciliation rumors in late April after she called it quits with Alex Rodriguez. She later confirmed her romance with the “Justice League” actor in July when they were vacationing to Europe to celebrate the pop star’s 52nd birthday.

About Ben’s relationship with Jennifer Garner, they remain amicable. Back in May, he offered a tribute to the “Peppermint” star on Mother’s Day. Sharing on Instagram some throwback photos of her with their children, the father of three wrote, “So happy to share these kids with you. Luckiest parents in the world. Thanks for all the good you do. Happy Mother’s Day. Love, their Dad.”

Ben previously gushed over Jennifer Garner in a 2020 interview with PEOPLE. “When you have children with somebody you’re connected to them forever,” he raved. “And I’m very lucky she is the mother of my children.”
