The Scottish weather presenter, 59, ended up being taken out by the excitable hound leaving her co-presenter Dan Walker in hysterics back in the studio.
Carol had just given the forecast from Chelsea ahead of the annual Flower Show when the golden Labrador named Flash tugged at the lead and toppled her over.

‘We’re just checking that you’re okay,’ Sally Nugent added. ‘Are you alright?’
‘Yes!’ Carol replied. ‘Yes, she’s a very strong girl, Flash.’
The blunder came just moments after Carol had declared that Flash was ‘very well behaved’.
Just before the incident Carol was stroking Flash as she gave her weather report.
Introducing the cute pooch, she said: ‘Now, she’s a friend of the programme. She was actually on the programme on the 28th April with her trainer, Mel, and she took a little bit of a nibble out of Mel’s hand when she was only 18 weeks old.

It comes after last month Carol revealed she has found love and has described her secret boyfriend as the ‘best thing that’s ever happened to me’.
The TV star, who split from husband Jimmy in 2008 after 18 years of marriage, kept coy over the identity of her new man, but described him as ‘extremely handsome’.
In an interview with Prima Magazine, Carol said she doesn’t know if she would ever remarry but revealed her partner has made her the happiest she’s ever been.
‘I don’t want to say too much about my boyfriend, but I will say that he is very kind and very funny – he’s always making me laugh. And extremely handsome, as well,’ she said.

‘He always makes me a cup of tea before I go to work in the morning, which is very romantic – it’s 2.45am and he often leaves me a little love note for when I come home from work. That, to me, is worth a million red roses.
‘He is the best thing that’s ever happened to me, without a shadow of a doubt.’
Carol previously spoke about her divorce in an interview with the Radio Times.
The weather presenter had married property developer Jimmy in 1990, but parted ways in 2008. Their divorce was finalised in 2012.

‘I found myself when I got divorced. I started to do things and to think, ‘I’m not going to say no, I’m going to say yes.
‘I’m braver now. I’ve flown with the Red Arrows, jumped out of planes with the Red Devils.’
Following her divorce, Carol went on to star in Strictly Come Dancing in 2015 with her dance partner Pasha Kovalev, and spoke about her love life after the demise of her marriage.
She told The Sun: ‘I was married for a long time, and I got married quite young, so it’s nice doing things I have the freedom to do now, if I want to go out to the theatre or go out with friends for dinner, I’ve got that freedom.’
A year after starring on the show, Carol said she was seeing someone.
She told The Express: ‘I’m very happy in my relationship status at the moment. I’m not single. I’d just started seeing somebody, so it was ok, it didn’t matter.’
Carol then didn’t speak publicly about her love life, until this month’s Prima Magazine interview.
