Adele Adkins, 34, was prepared to sweep the floor last night in Los Angeles, both with her incredible number of nominations and gorgeous ruby dress.

The singer delivered classic Hollywood glamour at the event and found herself tied with Brandi Carlile as the third most nominated artist of the evening.

Her velvet Louis Vuitton gown, featuring a wide-ruffled neckline and small train, wowed viewers as they spotted the singer inside the event.

The Rolling In The Deep star had elected to forego a red carpet entrance to the event, sparking some concern among fans as a rumour earlier this year claimed the singer would not appear at all.

After a six-year break from attending the awards show, the Tottenham-born singer went home with the Best Pop Solo performance for her hit song Easy On Me.

Although she opted to avoid the red carpet, Adele’s incredible ensemble turned heads inside the star-studded venue.

Her Louis Vuitton gown featured a ruffled shoulder, belted waist and matching ruby pumps

The singer also accentuated her look with a quaint bracelet and chunky diamond earrings.

After six years, the singer returned to win Best Pop Solo performance

Dwayne Johnson presented the award, calling to her saying: “Get up here best friend” despite having only been introduced earlier that night by the event’s host Trevor Noah.

Overall, Adele was the third top nominee and up for seven of the night’s most coveted awards.

Kendrick Lamar ranked second with eight nominations and Beyonce reigned with a record-breaking nine nominations.

The singer made a tearful tribute during her speech as she dedicated the award to her son, Angelo, 1

She said: “This is for my son and I wrote this first verse in the shower when I was choosing to change my son’s life. He’s been nothing but gracious and humble to me the whole time.”

During one of her Las Vegas shows in January, Adele confirmed she would be at the awards show

Adele addressed the rumours head-on at her Weekends with Adele residency, saying: “I would never miss the Grammys. I would never be as disrespectful to the Grammys or to other artists. Whoever started that little story needs to go touch some grass.”
