Colin Burgess, the drummer of AC/DC has died at age 77. The rock and roller’s death was confirmed by the brand, which shared on social media.

They wrote: “Very sad to hear of the passing of Colin Burgess. He was our first drummer and a very respected musician. Happy memories, rock in peace, Colin.”

The cause of death is not known at this time.

Colin Burgess, an Australian musician, was known for his time with AC/DC and also in rock band The Masters Apprentices.

In 1998 he was inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame alongside the other original members of The Masters Apprentices.

Heartbroken fans left their condolences in the comments. One wrote: “Sad week for that. Enjoy our time while we can!”
