Amanda Seyfried might have walked away from the 93rd Academy Awards without the Best Actress in a Supporting Role award for her role in “Mank,” but she gained plenty of attention for her stunning look on the red carpet. Dressed in a strapless red gown by Giorgio Armani Privé, the actress looked stunning with her hair slicked back into a low bun and her ears adorned with Forevermark yellow diamond drop earrings, as noted by People. Seyfriend completed her outfit with Stuart Weitzman heels.

The star of such films as “Mean Girls” and “Mamma Mia!” also turned heads with her striking, flawless makeup. Even though her makeup and hair was done by the pros — makeup artist Genevieve Herr and hairstylist Renato Campora — you can achieve her glamorous look, too. According to InStyle, you’ll need to apply burgundy lipstick and subtly brush on matching eye shadow — both available from Lancôme’s product line.

Amanda Seyfried's red carpet makeup look was an ode to Old Hollywood

While most of us know Amanda Seyfried for her glamorous red carpet looks, she can often be found wrestling with goats and chickens on her farm in the Catskills, where she lives with her husband, actor Thomas Sadoski, and their two children, according to The New York Times. However, her performance as the glamorous actress Marion Davies in the Netflix drama “Mank” earned Seyfried her first Oscar nomination and certainly seemed to inspire her red carpet style. In the role, Seyfried transformed into the glittery and brassy 1920s and 1930s film star, who was known to have been the mistress of billionaire William Randolph Hearst. “Mank” tells the story of alcoholic screenwriter Herman J. Mankiewicz as he rushes to finish the script for “Citizen Cane,” which was partly inspired by Davies’ relationship with Hearst.

Decked out in scarlet colors from head to toe, Seyfried – who had a stunning transformation — seemed to pay tribute to Davies with her gorgeous appearance at the 93rd Academy Awards. Seyfried’s classic hairstyle was reminiscent of Davies’ era, and her gown also seemed inspired by Old Hollywood. All in all, it was a fabulous look for the talented actress.
