TRYING to keep the whole family entertained on rainy days can be difficult, but there are several UK attractions that are perfect in the wet weather.

One of those places is Wake the Tiger – the world's very first "amazement park".

Set in Bristol, Wake the Tiger is an immersive experience that transports visitors to the imaginary world of Meridia.

Visitors will be invited to follow the story behind the make-believe world, which is undergoing an environmental crisis.

The walk-through attraction features 27 unique art installations including strobe lighting, hidden portals and doorways, and rooms with moving parts.

Customers will be able to explore several spaces on their visit including the dream factory, the submarine room, and the elder forest.

While the experience is aimed at families, there are also adults-only evenings too.

These kid-free nights take place after hours and include a drink at the bar.

Wake the Tiger was founded by the team behind Boomtown Fair – another festival in the UK.

The venue is currently closed but it's set to reopen on September 16, 2023.

There is also on-site parking, and food and drink is also available to purchase too.

Since the attraction opened, visitors like TikTok user Alicia, who is known as thechaosdiaries, have been raving about the amazement park.

In a video on TikTok, she said: "If you're looking for a rainy day activity in Bristol, you need to visit Wake the Tiger.

"The experience is set in an abandoned luxury homes development that gets taken over by nature in a loud of weird and wonderful ways.

"As you explore the park, you'll see a range of experiments from the different guilds representing the elements.

"Loads of things are interactive, such as this secret door leading to a room filled with books, and a hidden portal.

"At the end of the experience, or as they call it your first day of work, you'll take a quiz to align you to one of the guilds.

"Wake the Tiger is such a great experience for all ages, and is a must if you're looking for things to do in Bristol."

Holidaymakers have also praised the Amazement Park on TripAdvisor.

One person wrote: "The interactive tasks were good fun, and we loved finding all the hidden doors and cupboards."

While another person added: "It's brilliant fun! I didn’t know what to expect but we all had a great time, it felt like a dystopian Disneyland."

Someone else said: "We absolutely loved Wake the Tiger, it's such a unique and totally immersive experience, and with a real message at its core."

Entry tickets cost £19.50 for a full-paying adult during peak times, while children aged between five and 12 cost £13.50.
