A BARBIE-themed attraction is set to be included at a huge new theme park opening next year.

The new Barbie film has smashed box office records worldwide, with everyone keen to see how director Greta Gerwig brought the childhood toy to life.


From next year fans can experience Barbie Land in a completely new way, at the new Mattel Adventure Park.

The attraction will open in Glendale, Arizona and Barbie will be just one of a number of the toy giants' creations to feature.

She joins the previously announced Hot Wheels rollercoaster and go-karting experiences and Thomas & Friends indoor theme park.

The additional experiences planned for the park will include Barbie's Beach House, designed to be a must-visit destination for Barbie fans of all ages.

The beach house will feature the Barbie flying theatre, which will take riders on a journey from deep underwater to outer space, as well as the Dream Closet Experience, where Barbie, through state-of-the-art hologram technology, is brought to life to help curate the ultimate wardrobe.

There will also be the Barbie Rooftop where guests can enjoy a selection of signature pink beverages perfectly paired with sweet and savoury snacks while enjoying panoramic views of the property.

Masters of the Universe and Mattel Games have also been announced alongside Barbie, with attractions of their own.

There will be a nine-hole mini golf course that will represent Mattel Games as an immersive experience.

Guests will putt while also battling Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em Robots and passing through a life-sized Pictionary game board with additional games featured throughout.

UNO, will be represented as a larger-than-life climbing structure, where guests can jump on oversized UNO cards and race to the top.

Meanwhile, Master of the Universe’s iconic Castle Grayskull has been transformed into a 4,500+ sq. ft. state-of-the-art laser tag arena where fans “have the power” to fight for Eternia.

“The expansion of this flagship attraction brings together the largest representation of Mattel’s beloved brands in a live space as never before.”

Mattel Adventure Park isn't the only new theme park being planned in America either, with a $2bn resort that promises the be as big as Disneyland opening in 2025.

American Heartland Theme Park will open off the west of Grand Lake on Route 66.
