While Love Holiday trips are ATOL protected, meaning your money is protected if the firm goes bust, this doesn't cover any changes to travel rules.
Love Holidays is no longer an ABTA member, having quit last year.
This means that holidays are unlikely to be covered if the rules change due to Covid, such as new quarantine rules, or if the destinations is put onto the red list.
Brits are advised to take out travel insurance which protects against Covid changes, as well as pay on credit cards for extra protection if the trip cannot go ahead.
Credit card payments between £100 and £30,000 are covered under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act.
