A WOMAN has shared how she nabbed a hotel breakfast for £3.
However, Bethan Shufflebotham revealed that wasn’t all quite as it seemed when she tucked into her first meal of the day courtesy of the Moxy Manchester City hotel.
She explained on Manchester Evening News how she got the buffet breakfast without having to stay at a hotel.
Bethan said she downloaded Too Good To Go, which has partnered with the hotel to offer people breakfast at a discounted price.
The app connects restaurants and stores that have unused meals or groceries, offering them at a bargain price.
Sharing her experience, Bethan said: “I reserved a bag for £3, with around £9 worth of ‘delights of a breakfast buffet’ inside.”

Having stayed at the hotel before, she was aware that their morning buffet featured items like fruit and pastries as well as a Full English of sausages, bacon, eggs, hash browns and beans – but what she got was something slightly different.
She recalled: “First up was a chicken, sweetcorn and iceberg lettuce sandwich which would make a rather suitable lunch, to which, if I wanted, I could have added slices of ham or chicken which had been individually wrapped in cellophane.”
There was also a handful of cherry tomatoes that she roasted for dinner, while her dad munched on two peeled boiled eggs for a post-gym snack.
Additionally, there were three cinnamon rolls that she shared with her family and, while not that soft anymore, were perfectly fine for toasting.
