Are you a designer gal with a high street budget? If so, you've either already clocked on to New Look's latest offering, or you're about to go nuts for the bargain you can bag. Quite literally, by the way.

Because New Look has just launched its very own version of Mulberry's classic Bayswater leather tote bag, and people are describing it as the "perfect" dupe.

While the designer bag comes in at a steep £795, and can be purchased from retailers like Selfridges or John Lewis, the high street double is being sold for a humble £27.99 here.

Described as a Leather-Look Tote Bag on New Look's website, customers can claim the tote in either pastel pink or khaki, slightly similar shades also offered in Mulberry's collection.

The tote is crafted from a "super-soft leather-look fabric," and, as per New Look, "serves the ideal spot to safely (and stylishly) stow your everyday essentials."

In terms of sizing, while Mulberry's version is wider and deeper (coming in at 46.5cm and 13cm respectively), New Look's bag offers more in height. At 32.5cm, it's slightly taller than the more expensive bag, which reads at 28.5cm.

This probably doesn't make much of a difference though, as you'll still be able to fit all of your essentials in there, whether it's for back to work office vibes or a day out shopping in the city.

Plenty of shoppers have already nabbed New Look's design thanks to its affordability coupled with its durability and aesthetic. In fact, as of now, the average customer ratings give it five stars.

One consumer revealed they use it for work and it "fits everything in," is "very secure, very spacious," and "great quality." A second reviewer, as reported by WalesOnline said: "A great versatile bag! Bought for my daughter for school and she can fit everything that she needs in to it!"

A further shopper weighed in with their thoughts, and while detailed they liked the design, did note that it would be "even better if it had another compartment."

So just a heads up if you want to use the bag for extra storage or like to organise your belongings into sections.

New Look isn't the only affordable store jumping on the Mulberry tote bag trend, either. Amazon have also come up with a similar design at a much cheaper price, too. Their version is being retailed at £32.99 here and is dubbed a "stylish designer large black handbag for school, work or travel."
