When we heard there was a serum described as working ‘like filler’, you know we had to try it.

Youth is wasted on the young and before we know it, we’re getting wrinkles around our eyes, forehead lines that make us weep and the checkout guy at the supermarket barely glancing at our faces before they push the ‘Visibly Over 25’ button with such haste, it feels like a hate crime.

But this serum from Invity, which aims to visibly tighten the skin and reduce the tell-tale signs of ageing, works so well it may have your friends wondering if you popped out for some lunchtime pricking. Needles, we mean. Minds out of the gutter.

The Youth Activating Instant Filler comes with five syringes that contain 3ml each of the effective serum. The serum is what the fancy folks call ‘cosmeceutical grade’, which means this baby is packing way more heat than your average moisturiser.

The formula focuses on skin tightening and brightening. It features a powerful combination of hydrolysed plant biopolymers and rhizobian and acacia gums. Yep, we’ve never heard of any of those either but trust us, they’re dynamite for younger-looking skin.

The feedback has been pretty impressive too. Of the test groups who got to try out this nifty product, 96% said they saw visibly firmer skin. Now we may have got a C in GCSE maths but even we know that’s good.

The reviews by happy customers are equally as glowing, with many saying their lines appeared filled in for days.

One wrote: ‘My skin looks so much younger and my fine lines are virtually diminished.’

Another added ‘It actually did what it said it would and filled wrinkles instantly!’as another echoed similar sentiments: ‘I noticed a difference immediately! I can’t wait to see what long term use will do. Aging backwards is the goal.’

And one described the product as ‘magic’, adding: ‘I noticed results instantly, and got comments from the first day.’

At Metro, we don’t take just anyone’s word for it. So if we have to slather our skin in youth-boosting serums for the sake of research, we’ll do it.

Metro’s Kat Romero found that with the serum, a little goes a long way.

‘You instantly feel your face tighten and lift. It’s a bizarre sensation at first and I was a little worried I was stuck that way. I could barely register a smile on my face. But it does ease off and the fine lines did appear to fade right away.

‘I’m turning 35 soon so I’m tempted to do anything to find the fountain of youth. I actually think this product is a brilliant alternative to injectables. Not only did I feel younger, I also felt my face glow. I can definitely see why it’s so popular!’

£70 may seem like a hefty price tag but this is a non-invasive alternative to filler and Botox and that stuff is costly. So it may be pricey but it’s way cheaper than treatments and the results are effective. So in a way you’re basically saving money and looking younger in the process.
