The trip to the River Bend is set to end in tragedy for some, but where there’s darkness there is always light, and it’s Nicolette (Charlotte Chimes) who manages to find some joy amongst the sadness.
Nicolette has had a bit of a shocking time of late, what with all of the baby Abigail drama leaving her feeling side-lined. She felt marginalised as Aaron (Matt Wilson) and David (Takaya Honda) made decisions about their parenting trio without consulting her, and it’s been tough to deal with. It’s also not that long ago since she thought she’d reignited the spark with Chloe before it fizzled out again.
It’s about time Nicolette had a bit of stability and happiness in her life – will she finally find it?
As the group all head on their adventure holiday at River Bend, Nicolette unexpectedly finds herself the subject of a holiday romance. She had no plans for this, but when she and Kiri cross paths, the attraction is instant.
At first, she’s reticent to see where it could go. Being vulnerable hasn’t worked too well for her lately. But eventually she begins to relax into it and lets her mind wonder as to where it could go.
Kiri seems exciting and flirty, but Nicolette being Nicolette, she can’t help putting her foot in it. Has she ruined things before they’ve begun?
Luckily for her, Kiri is as taken with her as she is with Kiri, and she finds Nicolette’s faux pas charming. Things heat up between the two of them. Are they about to take things to the next level? Could this romance be the one to last?
Scenes air from Monday March 7 on Channel 5.
